The British Science Festival connects a huge range of people with scientists, engineers, technologists and social scientists. It celebrates the sheer excitement of the latest developments and engages in open discussion about issues that interest and concern large numbers of people about the implications of scientific advancement.
The Festival was hosted by the University of Birmingham from 6-11 September 2014 in conjunction with partners Birmingham City Council, Aston University and Birmingham City University. It included over 200 events, with over 350 of the world’s leading scientists, social scientists, technologists, engineers and science communicators. The programme offered something for everyone, with activities for families and school-groups, adults looking for thought-provoking entertainment and stimulating debate
