    The Faculty of Health and Social Development is composed of three unique schools. The School of Health and Exercise Sciences offers programs leading to a Bachelor of Human Kinetics (B.H.K.) and Masters and Ph.D. degrees through the Interdisciplinary Graduate Studies program offered by the College of Graduate Studies. The School of Nursing at UBC's Okanagan campus offers a four year Bachelor of Science in Nursing program with access points for Licensed Practical Nurses and Registered Nurses who want to complete a baccalaureate degree in nursing. The program is reviewed by the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia and is accredited by the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing. Informed by a vision of social justice, the School of Social Work promotes social well-being, change, healing, and growth at multiple levels. We are committed to fostering the integration of varied and diverse theoretical perspectives which contribute to holding central the dynamic interplay between individuals and their environments. Recognition is given to the impact of harmful and oppressive environments, our interdependence, and the human need for caring, loving and sustaining relationships throughout the life course.
