ProjExec is the integrated social project management solution for IBM Connections and the IBM Smart Cloud. With ProjExec, teams seamlessly collaborate and network socially around their project plan. From the project dashboard, team members can discuss project status, can update their project plan task completion status, and can post documents for review and collaboration.
ProjExec is integrated with IBM Connections as an add-on application, with associated OpenSocial gadgets. This means that what happens in ProjExec happens in the associated Connections community. In addition, when a project team member is in the community, she can respond to posts directly from the activity stream on the ProjExec project wall, can update her tasks in response, and can interact with the files posted through ProjExec.
The ProjExec SocialGanttTM allows project team members to perform all of these social collaboration activities in-context directly from the project schedule. However, beginning with ProjExec 6, the SocialGanttTM now brings this power to multiple projects, an entire program, or even a company's entire strategic plan, all at one time.
By doing this, ProjExec enables you to create social bridging to allow better work coordination across multiple, potentially disconnected, communities.
