Traffic Injury Research Foundation released the results of the new Road Safety Monitor poll on drinking and driving which revealed that the percentage of Canadians who regard drinking and driving as a major road safety concern has consistently decreased from a high of 88% in 2006 to 73% in 2014.

It also revealed the percentage of self-reported drinking drivers who admitted to driving when they thought they were over the legal limit, has nearly doubled since reaching a record low in 2012.
