The Archdiocesan Dance Troupe leads the youth in dance at New York Catholic Youth Day. This event was sponsored by the Office of Youth Ministry of the Archdiocese of New York and was held on April 11, 2015, at St. Joseph's Seminary in Yonkers, NY. The Dance Troupe consists of youth from several parishes across the Archdiocese. This is a fantastic opportunity for young people to express their faith and creativity! Each parish choreographs, rehearses, and chooses costumes and props for their individual routines. Jessica Abejar of The Moving Prayer helps coordinate Dance Troupe's larger routines and rehearsals.

The mission of The Moving Prayer™ is simple: to nurture the mind, body, and spirit. The Moving Prayer chooses to fulfill this mission through sacred dance. Looking to expand the definition of what sacred dance and movement is and discover how we as humanity can use it throughout everyday life, The Moving Prayer embraces sacred dance as an art, fitness, and prayer. The Moving Prayer seeks to promote sacred dance through various performances, presentations during liturgy services, workshops in sacred dance and movement, and more.http://themovingprayer.com
