By Roger Hubbard. From the album "Brighton Belle Blues". Blue Goose 2005. Tuning E - B - E - G# - B - E. Rather than tuning down to open D, this tuning brightens the song, and makes the final notes, the strum of harmonics at the 5th fret on all 6 strings, sound more brilliant and unmuddy. Note that the 5th string is struck muted, using the second finger of the left hand to mute, during three runs in the latter part of the song. *Amanda Jane was lucky to have such a beautiful song written in her honour, and Mr. Hubbard, I think, was lucky to have such an inspiration as her in his life.
