Thanks to http://rrsautogroup.com/ for lending me their masterpiece for the weekend which they created in collaboration with TechArt.

This 2012.5 911 Carrera S (991) has a 7-speed manual gearbox, crazy TechArt Valvetronic exhaust, gorgeous 21" TechArt Formula IV wheels and other Techart goodies.

    My thoughts:

The looks: The 911 is timeless, all of them are. This one in particular, is extremely elegant and an eye catcher in the most positive light possible. Everywhere I went people stared at the car and threw a thumbs up or smiled. The 21" wheels and lower suspension setup really fills the wheel gap and the spoiler gives the body a perfect touch.

The performance: This is a bipolar machine that you can enjoy in comfort every day and really rip on the weekends. It's not the fastest thing for the money, but it is very enjoyable. 0-60 happens in under 5 seconds, the shifter is placed perfectly and if you really want to, you can get over 25mpg. If you already have a stock 911 S, the TechArt exhaust is a must-have. It'll change the car entirely for you and make your ears very happy. I would opt for a PDK if this was my daily driver and I had a traffic filled commute. The clutch isn't too heavy but the PDK is fast and still enjoyable on spirited drives. Cornering is marvelous with the 305 wide Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires in the rear. This thing holds on like a champ and the steering is quick. Plenty of feedback through the custom TechArt steering wheel. There is a slight "dead zone" between 3-5ish thousand rpm but it revs quickly past that.

The Daily Usability: If you drive by yourself or only with one passenger, this is the perfect car for you. Trunk space is plenty for a weekend getaway, 2 carry-ons or 3 duffel bags fit up in the "Frunk". Rear seats fold down to fit your golf clubs, and if you really need to drive +2 on a short trip, it's doable as long as they are under 5 foot 7 inches. It's fuel efficient, quiet and a very smooth ride. The Bose stereo system sounds crisp and the infotainment controls are superb. Everything in this car feels premium, you can fill it in the buttons.

    Notes about the video:

    1) Thanks to Jason for his help filming and partaking in the review.

    2) I will be updating the camera that was filming both Jason and I as it is definitely shakey and the audio quality could be better.

    3) Please leave feedback in a comment, I want to make the best videos possible for you that translate what living with a particular car is like! Show less
