no sprite sheets
smoke puffs are fresnel material meshes, no textures (700 verts per mesh)
use of alpha masking whenever possible for minimizing overdraw.
the fiery core is a procedural 3D noise on low settings, animated with dynamic parameters.
extra details such as dust upon debris falling and dust kicking up in the shock radius.
8 different explosion FX are triggered in this demo.
