25 years ago NZ music was invisible on the airwaves. These days we go to a Homegrown festival and see thousands of people having the time of their lives and singing along to every word of Kiwi artists whose music they’ve heard on radio, on TV and online. NZ Music wouldn’t be where it is today without the work of Brendan Smyth and this video shows how he impacted so many artists, the industry and changed the landscape of NZ Music. Thank you to everyone involved in making this video, it’s an awesome way to reflect on Brendan and celebrate his work on getting NZ Music to where is today…!
Get to know some of the fresh and amazing artists coming out of New Zealand. Decent Exposure is a programme on Edge TV (NZ) Its aim is to highlight and introduce new artists and songs. Funded by NZ On Air Music it gives artists a platform to play their new videos and connect with their audience.
