As part of our involvement with the Teaching Kitchen Collaborative – the experiential learning branch of Menus of Change – we welcomed a group of Northeastern students to the Xhibition Kitchen for two hands-on culinary tutorials sharpening knife knowledge and technique.
With the guidance of campus executive chef Tom Barton, the students learned how to safely handle commonly used knives, make different types of cuts, and be able to safely peel and pare fruits and vegetables.
