you will be put again and again
into nearly impossible
situations.
they will attempt again and again
through subterfuge, guise and
force
to make you submit, quit and /or die quietly
inside.
nobody can save you but
yourself
and it will be easy enough to fail
so very easily
but don’t, don’t, don’t.
just watch them.
listen to them.
do you want to be like that?
a faceless, mindless, heartless
being?
do you want to experience
death before death?
nobody can save you but
yourself
and you’re worth saving.
it’s a war not easily won
but if anything is worth winning then
this is it.
think about it.
think about saving your self.
your spiritual self.
your gut self.
your singing magical self and
your beautiful self.
save it.
don’t join the dead-in-spirit.
maintain your self
with humor and grace
and finally
if necessary
wager your self as you struggle,
damn the odds, damn
the price.
only you can save your
self.
do it! do it!
then you’ll know exactly what
I am talking about.

Nadie puede salvarte sino
tú mismo.
te verás una y otra vezen situaciones
casi imposibles.
intentarán una y otra vez
por medio de subterfugios, engaños o
por la fuerza
que renuncies, te des por vencido y/o mueras lentamente
por dentro.
nadie puede salvarte sino
tú mismo
y será muy fácil desfallecer,
pero muy fácil,
pero no desfallezcas, no, no.
limítate a mirarlos.
escucharlos.
¿quieres ser así?
¿un ser sin cara, sin mente,
sin corazón?
¿quieres experimentar
la muerte antes de la muerte?
nadie puede salvarte sino
tú mismo
y mereces salvarte.
no es una guerra fácil de ganar
pero si algo merece la pena ganar,
es esto.
piénsalo.
piensa en salvarte a ti mismo.
tu parte espiritual.
la parte de tus entrañas.
tu parte mágica y ebria.
sálvala.
no te unas a los muertos de espíritu.
mantente
con buen humor y energía
y finalmente,
si fuera necesario,
apuesta tu vida en plena refriega,
al carajo las probabilidades, al carajo
el precio.
nadie puede salvarte sino
tú mismo.
¡Hazlo!
¡sálvate!
entonces sabrás exactamente de
qué hablo.

Esto es raro. Tampoco es un video al que le haya dedicado mucho tiempo. Pero quería dejarlo por aquí, como un recordatorio.
Últimamente no paro de buscar poesía,
he vuelto a encontrar ese cobijo que sentía de pequeña cuando leía libros de fantasía.
Creo que, de lo que he leído de Bokowski, este es uno de los poemas que más me ha llegado estos días; y por eso creo que debería dejarlo por aquí.
Por otro lado, sí, en inglés. Sí, no está perfecto. Sí, bla bla. Me apetecía y ya.
