Use CTRL + SHIFT + U to bring up the performance dashboard in IE11.
On demo sites you often see metrics like Frames per second being shown on screen. These are all good and well, however, the developer has added this counter manually. On a regular web site no one in their right mind would add an onscreen FPS counter. But what if you want to quickly understand the performance of any website.
If you are using Internet Explorer 11. You can now in any website press CTRL + SHIFT + U and the new performance dashboard will pop up.
It shows a number of performance metrics.
Paint Time illustrates the time it takes your page to render changes that were made to the DOM.
Frame Rate is how many frames per second it's rendering
Memory is how much memory it is using and
CPU shows how much processing power is being used by the site.
Its fast, it’s handy and if you notice anything peculiar your can open up the F12 performance tools by pressing F12 to exploring and interrogate further.
