Pilates is one of the best ways to create a good, pain-free posture but it won't burn very many calories per session - agree it's good to add some cardio or weight training in to your fitness schedule as well.
Fitness is all sorts of things. Pilates helps with balance, strong core and flexibility - as well as often being relaxing which creates a healthy mind!
