It Is Finished! Pastor Nick Bitakis NLCFOP
John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is Finished
    1. The Finished Work of Christ On The Cross is Proclaiming that The Perfect Sacrifice for Sin Has Been Accomplished. Heb. 10:10-12, 14 By which we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once For All. (means forever) But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God. For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. The only Mass in the Bible took place at Calvary.
    2. The Finished Work of Christ On The Cross is proclaiming that the Penalty For Our Sins Has Been Paid In Full! Heb 9:26-28 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes you were healed.
2 Corin 5:21 For he has made him, who knew no sin, to be sin for us; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
    3. The Finished Work of Christ On The Cross is Proclaiming that The Power of Sin Has Been Broken.
Rom 6:6-11 & 14 our old self is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that we should no longer serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.
If we are dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dies no more; death has no more dominion over him.
For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he lives, he lives unto God. Likewise reckon you also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. And sin has no authority over you, for you not under The Written Law, but under grace.
Colos 2:13-15 And you, who had died by your sins and by the un-circumcision in your flesh, He has given you life with Him and has forgiven us all our sins. And he has blotted out by his authority the bill of our debts which was adverse to us and he took it from the midst and nailed it to his cross. And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto death. Show less
