Phase 1 of How to Plasti Dip a car, truck, or SUV. In this video I Plasti Dip an 06 Mustang chameleon.
The colors are not as strong as I would like them to have been, but in this video I want to show what it looks like to try and stretch 1 gallon of glossifier, with only 50 grams of pigment, over a whole car. The coverage is less than satisfactory, so in my next video I will double the amount of pigments, as well as dip, to see how much more it will cover.
These videos will be done in phases, to physically show, the progression of adding more pigments, with different spray styles, instead of just telling you.
This video was done with the DYC spray system, original un-thinned Plasti Dip, VM&P, and Chameleon Pigments.
When thinning your own Plasti Dip be sure to use 1 gallon of thinner (Xylene, Toluene, or VM&P) for every gallon of un-thinned Plasti Dip you use.
In all my videos I use un-thinned Plasti Dip as an alternative to pre-thinned RDS(Rubber Dip Sprayable). I think the added pigments in RDS are great which is why I add pigments to my own Plasti Dip jobs, but I am able to save about $70 per job by thinning Plasti Dip myself.
