Our Takes: In the late fall as the water drops below 250 cfs., find the obvious deeper runs. Fish will be on the edges of the run next to slower water or just below shelves at the bottom of riffles.
Flies: Orange eggs, clown eggs, size 18 pheasant tails, size 18-20 purple or brown jujubaetis, size 18 foam back baetis emergers.
Tackle used: 5 weight rods, 9-foot 4X leaders, 4X fluorocarbon tippet to the top fly and 5X fluorocarbon to the trail fly.
