Kurt traveled to Ontario for a family fishing trip for walleye and northern pike.
6 hours of driving plus a Cessna 185 float plane trip to get to the cabin. We spent 6 days up there fishing most for walleye and northerns under pretty cold and rainy conditions. It seemed like 55 and rain was the order of the day most of the week. Our Marmot Precip rain suits stayed on 80% of the time and worked like champs.
Our group of 5 caught just under 400 fish 90% of which were walleye as it never really got sunny enough for northern pike. The last 2 days we had an easterly wind so those days were mostly a bust. My biggest walleye was 22 inches and my biggest northern was 34.5".
