Lisa Collins began training dogs professionally through The Anti Cruelty Society of Chicago in 2001. After three years working with the expert trainers there she decided to also start working on her own and Collins Canine was born. Since that time she has worked with thousands of dogs dealing with every possible issue out there. From basic obedience like Sit and Stay to puppy issues like potty training and chewing to unique problems like being afraid of ceiling fans and watermelons, she has seen it all. In 2004 she became one of the first Certified Professional Dog Trainers-Knowledge Assessed and when the organization developed a skills assessment in 2011 she was in the first group to receive it. While Lisa has trained her own dogs in a variety of areas such as scent work, therapy and advanced obedience and agility, she has focused her work on obedience and behavioral issues as her goal has always been to keep dogs out of shelters and in happy homes.
In 2017 Lisa decided to scale back on the hands on training. But she wanted people to continue to benefit from her expansive knowledge of pet dog behavior so she revamped her web site and YouTube channel to provide short, easy to follow instructional videos for all the common issues people have with their pups. Videos will continue to be added all the time so please subscribe so you can get all the free training you and your pup need!
