I love the philosophy of an Interlude by Eurostar – 36 hours in another city embracing the spirit of spontaneity and serendipity. When you don't over-plan a journey, the most beautiful and unexpected things can happen.
On this trip, we only found out our itinerary once we boarded the Eurostar train at St Pancras. Breakfast was a collaboration between Mokonuts Bakery and Honey & Co, and was outstanding. I stayed at the Hotel Grand Amour and was lucky enough to dine at the home of talented chef Taku Sekine (of Dersou). The highlight of the weekend was the opportunity to chat to Taku over amazing food and wine... of politics, happiness and more.
