We are pleased to share the story of our Community Teaching Garden, including videos from the 2013 classes by Intern David Littlefield of Burlington College and photo stories from the 2009 and 2010 classes by organization Founder Jim Flint. The Vermont Community Garden Network (formerly Friends of Burlington Gardens) is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to the growth and success of community-based gardening. Established in 2001, VCGN has helped start and sustain hundreds of community and school gardens all over Vermont and has connected thousands of children, teens, and adults to fresh, healthy food and sustainable food production practices. We provide training, technical assistance, resources, and networking opportunities for garden leaders and hands-on garden education for youth and adults in Burlington. For more information, visit us at www.vcgn.org, or in person at 12 North St. in Burlington, Vt. We welcome visits to the garden and love to show off our programs!
Check out this first in a series of Community Teaching Garden videos from our summer intern Dave Littlefield. The videos feature students and staff, as well as lessons from the class. Enjoy and look for more soon!
