Hi, my name is Frank and I am addicted to fictional storytelling. As a trained voice-over actor and published fiction writer, I combine my "talents" and create audiobooks of public domain short stories and poems on this channel. Unfortunately, Edgar Allan Poe was not able to record his own stories and poems and put them on YouTube, so we don't know how he would have felt about all this. But I'm hoping you enjoy them. Here's an example, "Ulalume"...https://youtu.be/TzS7cGRTL78
WHY is storytelling so important? And what can you expect to find on this here channel?
The benefits of reading, or listening to, classic literature have been well established in the scientific literature. Improved mental capacity and speed, increased empathy, and an improvement in EQ or social skills are just some of the ways consuming classic lit can enhance your life. There's a reason why they teach these stories in school, but once we get out of school, they can still help us advance in our careers, improve our standing in society, and find the partner of our dreams.
Which is kinda cool, I think.
So, here we focus on public domain. Think Edgar Allan Poe, Jack London, Charlotte Perkins-Gilman, TS Eliot, Ambrose Bierce, and many more. I hope you enjoy these stories and poems as much as I do!
