0:48 - Not sure if you meant me, but if so, it actually wasn't the MAP - back then I was using the tank that Rob at GP made (for a little while before discontinuing), then went to the Torpedo tank, but then settled happily into the GG Odysseus. Haven't even TRIED anything else since going to the Ody. I'm actually horribly out of the loop now because Ody has me so satisfied, I don't even care what else is out there. heh. I wish you could get ahold of an Ody. Pricey, hard to find, perfection
Wow dude, 48 videos? You've come far grasshopper. :D
How's NY? I was just review-hunting - my go-to juice vendor's latest shipment, for whatever reason, has sat in shipping purgatory for almost 5 weeks now, so frustration has led me to say FUGGIT, time to find a new go-to all-dayer, been ordering a bunch from a lot of new places, and Boba's was one I figured I need to at least try (along with a bunch of other AVE's). Looking forward to giving it a puff. Anyway, keep up the good work!
why does that footage look so terrible?
Most of the shots were with the Canon 100mm f/2.8L. I think the very last shot was a different lens, but don't remember which. Was mainly just using this little family activity as an excuse to test out a new Manfrotto 561BHVD fluid head monopod - which is a truly wonderful piece of gear. Are you having issues with your lens, or the post processing?
That will depend heavily on how you configure it, of course, and what GPU you go with, but other than that - the base system itself should be great for 3D work. Admittedly, none of us here at STI are 3D artists, but I (the creative guy) bought one of these myself to for home, primarily to run the Adobe creative suite, and specifically built it up for HD video editing. I put in a Quadro FX 4800 and 16GB of RAM, and Premiere Pro and After Effects just scream.
shot on a Canon 5D Mark II and a 7D. Primary lens 100mm 2.8L IS and 16-35mm 2.8L for the wide shots. Sound recorded separately
don't remember exactly how long, but the shoot was definitely longer than 4 hours. If memory serves, was probably closer to 10. But your point is still quite valid
of course, I now have 4 screws left over. ROFL. whatever!
