You Know what should be longer than a season of Scandal? Mentor-mentee relationships? So why is the average duration of mentorship only 5 months long?** At BDCP, we have relationships that have lasted more than 8 years.
Through hip-hop dance and operating as a team, we create authentic long-term mentor relationships that help prepare young people to navigate the world around them. The supportive relationships our youth build with each other, their mentors, and with themselves, contributes to their own growth by improving upon their self-confidence, social-emotional learning skills, and their academic performance. We don’t just grow one on one, we grow as a whole.
By joining us in ensuring that youth have opportunities to experience enduring, supportive bonds through the arts, we can create a more equitable Baltimore where every student can become a thriving adult.
