July 4th 2018, this was completely unexpected, my mate Conor McDonald and I met up during the evening for a chat, we looked to the east and saw a huge fire raging, we decided to give chase from Maghera and took the country roads to east to see what was happening. We arrived on location, the fire was between Kilrea and Rasharkin, and burning over peat/bog land, spectators were arriving on the scene to watch, no one I spoke with seemed to know how it started, however it was clearly deliberate. I got into a field and got the drone in the air, Conor was my spotter, I flew out and filmed the dramatic event. The drone view was spectacular, the sun was filtering through the ascending smoke clouds at golden hour, also a combination of rising smoke to the left and blowing smoke across the surface below created the illusion of being inside a box of smoke, it was most bizarre.
Drone within vlos, spotter used, max range 500m, min height 63m, max height 120m, one flight, light breeze, hot weather once again. Soundrack 'Elemental Music Extended', thanks for watching. http://www.nightskyhunter.com/
