Dogma - religious or secular -  is destructive to the human soul.  It undermines human societies by not allowing them to evolve - freezing them in time and place which gave rise to a specific dogma, causing stagnation and oppression.  

How much better would our lives be if we could shake all dogmas and allow ourselves to make truly moral choices?  

'Lower life forms' - animals - are able to do this and transcend their genetically dictated predispositions as well as their species-based and 'cultural' learned behaviour.  Are we, humans, that much less intelligent, less capable of learning, that we are destined remain slaves to our - and each others' - dogma???
