Following on from the success of Cooking for your baby and toddler and Something for everyone, Louise Keats has created Sweet nourish, a collection of 80 "better for you" treats all made from nourishing wholefoods. Sweet nourish will be available from The Mix Shop from April 3, 2017.
Filled with delectable treats from cakes and pies to ice creams, biscuits and drinks - recipes from Sweet nourish has less refined sugar and more goodness, so you can still have a healthy, nourishing diet without missing out on dessert.
Louise wrote this book because she wanted to create recipes that are healthier and delicious.
So often Louise finds recipes that are so laden with white sugar and refined fats, and she cannot bear to serve them to the family. On the other extreme, the healthy recipes can be so highly restrictive that the results are disappointing. This cookbook is designed to be the best of both worlds.
The recipes contains less sugar than traditional - generally the most natural unrefined forms - as well as plenty of wholegrains, eggs, vegetables, fruits and healthier fats. They are healthier, but also a treat - you are supposed to enjoy them.
There are eight chapters covering Cakes and cupcakes; muffins and breads; Puddings and desserts; Tarts and pies; Biscuits, slices and raw goodness; Ice creams and sorbets; Drinks and Sweet essentials.
There are also plenty of nutrition tips throughout the book to help you cut back on sugar and to boost the goodness of your cooking.
