Polymer Clay Artist

Polymer Clay Artist [TheBroodingTom]

Hello and welcome to my ART channel! here I upload sculpting demonstrations in time lapse and save those videos to playlists for my viewers to watch. Nothing is rehearsed or planned, as times I'm not sure if I can even do what I'm doing, but somehow its been working so far. I even point out my mistakes! You could consider this channel a documentary of my progression with sculpting. I used to draw (for about 10 years or so) but one day I got a box of potting clay and made my first pieces of fragile art! After having problems with that type of clay that's when I found POLYMER CLAY, and my whole outlook on sculpting, and art in general, changed. I started with ZERO experience as a sculptor, the only thing I really had going for me was being naturally artistic (I drew). So I created this YouTube channel pretty close to the same time I started sculpting and have recorded almost everything I've done so far. I don't sculpt as often as I should, but thats going to change. I'm going to work on make more videos more often, and I hope you join me in this journey! Here are some of those playlists here and you can find them

3 headed Dragon! http://www.youtube.com/watc...
Tiger's Face! http://www.youtube.com/play...
Piranha Plant! http://www.youtube.com/play...
Snail monster http://www.youtube.com/play...
Dragon's head (bust) http://www.youtube.com/play...
Grumpy Alien! http://www.youtube.com/play...
FINISHED WORK http://www.youtube.com/play...

I also do other things on occasion like drawing, filming my cat Gizmo, and I like to take advantage of this beautiful 1080p camcorder and film bugs lol. I've also made real cool storage solutions for pencils and brushes. (all those things are super rare, so this channel is mostly sculpting and general polymer clay crafts)

I hope you subscribe that would make my day!!!

3 headed dragon sculpture, visual demonstration. Play

This is the complete collection of time lapse videos where I build my very first full-figure dragon, a 3 HEADED DRAGON!! Most of these videos contain hours of film that I edited out the inactive scenes and then speed it up many times faster then normal speed. (usually 11-13 times faster) So you can watch this AMAZING project come to life right before your eyes! When I first started this series I had no idea what it was going to be, all I knew is I wanted to do something full-figure. At first it was destined to be a dragon, but a suggestion from a viewer to make it 3-headed tempted my to give it a try... My subscribers are a part of this channel and they help me in a lot of ways. I hope you take a look at this playlist, its probably my best one yet. Certainly the most viewed of them all. Don't forget to rate the videos as you watch them and drop me a comment, this will help this playlist become even more popular!! Thank you for watching!!

Piranha Plant! Play

In this collection of videos I make a Piranha Plant or (man eating plant) Most people are familiar with the movie "Little Shop of Horror" or the video game "Mario Bros".. well I wanted to make a piranha plant for myself and decided to go with the video game character since I grew up playing Mario! This is a FUN time lapse sculpting demonstration where I figure out how to create this plant as I go, improvising along the way wherever I can. Discover how I made this, witness my thought process for each step via these time lapse video's! I ran into problems along the way and show you THEM too, and how I went about solving those problems. I hope you enjoy this series, don't forget to rate the videos as you watch them and drop me a comment... I ♥ comments!!

Build a Snake! (cobra) Play

These series of videos contain the "making" of my current polymer clay project!! It is nearly done, and the suspense is tense!! Its a awesome King Cobra sculpture, mouth open, wicked smile is on his face.. hope you have one too when you see him!! Hope you enjoy!!

[this playlist can also be found on my channel [side-bar image]

How I made a Snail Monster! Play

I made this back when I first started doing tutorials.. so camera angles and stuff like that was still being figured out. This Snail Monster is not completed.. needs to be repainted..

FINISHED Polymer clay sculptures Play

These are my finished sculptures.. listed in no particular order.. I make this stuff using polymer clays... mainly sculpey products. This clay is incredible to use!! It never dries out, and you bake it in the oven when your finished @ 275 degrees for 15 minutes!! It doesn't shrink, so even fine glass could be wrapped! It also comes in MANY different colors.. these colors can also me mixed to create nearly EVERY color possible!! Please share this playlist!! Help me get noticed!!
