Here is the statement from YouTube:https://support.google.com/...
Press Release from Onivox Network:http://www.twitlonger.com/s...
YouTube is terminating all Sub Networks (or third-parties). All partners must now be recruited on behalf of the entity that has a direct relation with Google's Partner Managers. This means that third-party brands powered by these MCNs to recruit channels as a YouTube network are no longer authorized to do so.
Much of these issues stem from the falsified information spreading around within the industry regarding mis-information, false-advertising, etc. This is also to address many MCNs giving access to content management tools such as the Channel Roll-Up tool, which unauthorized users are acquiring access to, which have been abused.
YouTube Partners under sub-networks of MCNs will not be effected except in situation-based circumstances, however all partners will default to the MCN, and the partners will no longer be through a third-party entity. Contracts should not be affected.
This is also relating to a crackdown on Branded Content Owners and CMS accounts. For example, an MCN giving a third-party access to their YouTube tools or to their network.
Originally, this had stirred up in early May. As Creative Nation had told everyone that all Sub Networks on YouTube would be terminated by May 21st, 2016. However, that only seemed to apply for Creative Nation. Although, now it appears as though YouTube is now cracking down on ALL sub-networks across YouTube, which is a new development in the industry.
