Partly inspired by legally-blind world-class freerunner Ryan Doyle. A montage of MilkDrop visualizations by MilkDrop author Martin (used with Martin's permission) put to my first attempt on guitar at unplugging ambient music technique. That is, instead of creating atmosphere by using electronics to layer/overlay audio, I'm repeating the same words and musical phrases via music composition and performance improvisation, putting in enough variety to coast a steady structure-independent feel. (The entire audio track is a single one-take semi-live performance, my first experiment with the technique.) Or you can just call it a long song.
LYRICS (first 5 min) [C Major]
I can fly, soaring over you
I can dive, break, fall, spring
I can see how to surf the sun
[Key up to D Major at 5 min 'til end]
(repeat above lyrics, plus):
I'm a king as I surf the sun. Gonna run.
If I close my eyes, is the world still there?
Acts of me, reacting to you
Rats abstract, a maze I drew
To understand why I exist
I'm just as lost in hyperspace
Strap you in the thoughts I'm thinking
Drinking all the things you're thinking
Singing all your songs when stressed
I like the ones about me
Say what you want, say what you need
I don't have to care
