YouTube grants us access to a new type of Shakespeare, a space where anyone can share their response to or version of the texts. This is the brave new world of the user-generated Shakespeare, the mash-up, the soliloquy as vlog, the parodic. This channel aims to demonstrate that the platform suggests a new, legitimate and meaningful form of Shakespearean, cultural and media activity. Included here are examples of what I regard as some of the most interesting Shakespeare content available on YouTube.

My book Shakespeare and YouTube: New Media Forms of the Bard (Arden Shakespeare/ Bloomsbury) is available from 24 April as eprint and as Hardback.
