My mother used to sign Bluegrass and Gospel on the radio in the early 50's with her brother and when I was old enough, I'd sign harmony vocals with her at home. That's where I got my voice. I remember signing this one with her. She's been gone over 10 years now but this song brought back happy (and sad) memories. I sang backup harmonies to this. Miss you Mom! Thank you Alison! you sound a lot like she did.
OK, my 2 cents. You say you've seen Desiree's videos. Why not SMILE like you are enjoying performing? If you Dad reads these take it from someone who has been in this industry for a looooong time. Talent and skill is one thing but stage presence is VERY important. Stevie Ray Vaughn used to just shred in the background with hie head down and hiding under his hat until he was couched on stage presence and then he took off. Enjoy your performance and make sure the audience enjoys along with you. :)
My Mother and her brother used to sign on the same radio show with Bobby and Freddie back in the early 50's. She always called him "her boyfriend". Mom settled down with a family and her brother went on the record in Nashville with a new group but I always think of mom when I here Special Angel and Jingle Bell Rock.
I miss her.
Thanks for posting this song
Kinda like it.
Give them a few more years to get some stage work in and for their voices to settle down. Cute kids to carry on da music.
