In this Let's play series we will be starting some new characters, and beginning an epic journey throughout Middle-Earth.
The series is meant to be equal parts entertainment and educational, and there will be tutorials along the way.

The Lord of the Rings Online is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) for Microsoft Windows and OS X set in a fantasy universe based upon J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth writings. It takes place during the time period of The Lord of the Rings.
Players can create their own characters from four races and nine classes to explore Middle-Earth, where they can encounter many characters from Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.
LOTRO is a Free-to-Play (F2P) MMO, meaning that you do not have to pay a thing to download the game and get started, although optional subscriptions and micro-transaction options are available.
Game of Thrones is an episodic point-and-click graphic adventure fantasy drama video game based on the A Song of Ice and Fire fantasy novels by George R. R. Martin and their TV adaptation Game of Thrones, released in December 2014 for Microsoft Windows, OS X, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, iOS, PlayStation 3 and Android.
The game is developed by Telltale Games and follows the episodic format found in other Telltale titles, where player choices and actions influence later events across the 6-episode arc.
The story revolves around the northern House Forrester, rulers of the Ironwood, whose members, including the 5 playable characters, attempt to save their family and themselves after ending up on the losing side of the War of the Five Kings. The game also includes settings, characters and voice actors from the novels and TV series.
Never Alone, also known as Kisima Inŋitchuŋa ("I am not alone"), is a puzzle-platformer video game by Upper One Games. Swapping between an Iñupiaq girl named Nuna and her Arctic fox companion, the player completes puzzles in a story based on Alaskan indigenous stories told in eight chapters. The game was the result of a partnership between the Cook Inlet Tribal Council and E-Line Media, and is one of a growing number of Video Games Produced by Indigenous People.
Never Alone's puzzles entail swapping control between Nuna and the fox. While the fox is fast, Nuna can pick up objects and open new areas using her bola. The story is based around Alaskan indigenous folklore and restoring balance in an "eternal blizzard" by visiting its source. Stories include that of Blizzard Man, the Little People, Manslayer, the Rolling Heads, and the Sky People. It is split into eight chapters. The game is based on the intergenerational transference of wisdom, taking place in a harsh physical environment.
The game is available to play on Windows, MAC OSX, Playstation 3, Palystation 4, Playstation Vita, Wii U and Xbox One. An expansion to the original game, titled "Foxtales" and the games soundtrack are also available as downloadable content (DLC).
The Walking Dead: Michonne is an episodic interactive drama graphic adventure based on Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead comic book series and developed by Telltale Games for Windows, Mac OSX, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, iOS and Android.
The three episode miniseries follows Michonne's journey after leaving Rick Grimes' trusted group in issue 126 of the comic, and what brought her back to the group in issue 139. It also serves as a tie-in between the existing The Walking Dead seasons developed by Telltale Games.
Minecraft: Story Mode is an episodic point-and-click graphic adventure video game based on the sandbox video game Minecraft, with the first episode released worldwide in October 2015 for Microsoft Windows, OS X, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Android, and iOS.
The game is being developed by Telltale Games, in association with Mojang, the original developer company of Minecraft. The game follows the episodic format that Telltale used for its titles The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, Tales from the Borderlands and Game of Thrones.
The game centers around an original character, named Jesse, who can be either male or female, as they and their allies attempt to save their world by defeating the Witherstorm.
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is an open world action-adventure video game set within Tolkien's Middle-Earth, developed by Monolith Productions and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.Released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in September 2014 and released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in November 2014. A Game of the Year edition was released on May 5, 2015. It was released for OS X and Linux on July 30, 2015.
The story of the game takes place between the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. The players control Talion, a ranger who was killed by the Black Hand of Sauron. Talion's spirit merged with the wraith of the Elf Lord Celebrimbor, and together they try to avenge the death of their loved ones. Players can engage in melee combat, and utilize some of the wraith abilities to fight against enemies. The game uses the Nemesis System, which allows the artificial intelligence of non-playable characters to remember the death of the game's protagonist and react accordingly.
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor received critical acclaim upon release. Most praise directed at its solid combat, open-world design, the game's lore, and the Nemesis System, which most critics agreed was the best part of the game. Some criticism was aimed at the game's story and boss battles. The game marked the biggest launch for a game based upon Lords of the Rings universe, and would go on to win several awards from video gaming publications. Two post-release downloadable content, namely Lord of the Hunt and The Bright Lord, was released in December 2014 and February 2015 respectively.
The third game in the Deus Ex series, this serves as a prequel to the first two games.
The game is set in 2027, 25 years before the first game (Deus Ex) and 45 years before the second game (Deus Ex: Invisible War), at a time when multinational corporations have grown in power beyond the control of national governments. The game follows Adam Jensen, the newly hired security manager at Sarif Industries, a growing biotechnology firm.
After terrorists brutally attack Sarif's Detroit-based headquarters, the mortally wounded Jensen is forced to undergo radical life-saving surgeries that replace large areas of his body with advanced prostheses. Returning to work, he becomes embroiled in the global politics of the human enhancement movement in the search for those responsible for the attack. Central themes to the game are the rise of corporations in globalization, espionage, human survival, poverty, and the ethics of advancing humans with artificial replacements for body parts.
Human Revolution received critical acclaim upon its release, with many reviewers praising the open-ended nature of the game and the weight of social interaction on the outcome of events.
