Music Off Canvas 'creating collaborative art through the meeting of minds' hosts a collective of musicians who work with artists of a variety of disciplines to create unique collaborative pieces through group composition and choreography. It originated in 2011 as an improvisatory experiment between a chamber music ensemble at the Royal College of Music and a dancer from Trinity Laban, both with a desire to develop their skills beyond the traditional. Within the first few months of operation, Music Off Canvas had been invited to play at the South Bank Centre, the Elgar Room of the Royal Albert Hall, St. Pancras Station and won a headlining performance in the Royal College of Music's "Great Exhibitionists" series. With such success and enjoyment, the musicians decided to expand the vision of Music Off Canvas by collaborating with all types of artistic disciplines.
