• Daddy Why Are You Gone?

    516 views 3 years ago
Fathers who Choose NOT to be involved in their children's lives. Listen to what men have to say about what it means to be a dad and how important it is to your Child that you as the Father do your part in raising your child in a Loving and Positive environment. Are you NOT involved because:

    * You Feel like you are not important in your child's life
    * You think it really doesn't matter if you are there
    * You Feel that your child doesn't want you to be involved in their life.
    * Your Father was abusive
    * Your Father was not there for you
    * The mother remarried or has a boyfriend

Being a father is the most important role in your life no matter what is stopping you from having a relationship with your child. You have a chance to make a change in your child's life and help them to become an adult that you will be proud of.

NOTE: The Statistics are only ESTIMATES from organizations that specialize in Fatherless children in the United States. Defenders for Children's primary focus is Child Abuse. We realize how important the it is for the children to have a positive male role model in the lives of America's Children.

****Below you can see the higher risks that your child will face if you DO NOT step up.

Millions of America's children are being raised without a positive Male role model in their lives.

INCARCERATION: "Young men who grow up in homes without fathers are twice as likely to end up in jail as those who come from traditional two-parent families...those boys whose fathers were absent from the household had double the odds of being incarcerated -- even when other factors such as race, income, parent education and urban residence were held constant."

SUICIDE: 63% of youth suicides are from fatherless homes (Source: What Can the Federal Government Do To Decrease Crime and Revitalize Communities? - see link below)

BEHAVIORAL DISORDERS: 85% of all children that exhibit behavioral disorders come from fatherless homes

CRIMINAL ACTIVITY: The likelihood that a young male will engage in criminal activity doubles if he is raised without a father and triples if he lives in a neighborhood with a high concentration of single-parent families.

HIGH SCHOOL DROP OUT: 71% of all high school dropouts come from fatherless homes

JUVENILE DETENTION: 70% of juveniles in state-operated institutions come from fatherless homes

AGGRESSION: In a longitudinal study of 1,197 fourth-grade students, researchers observed "greater levels of aggression in boys from mother-only households than from boys in mother-father households."

Special Thank You to the Celebrities and Guest that Volunteered to Speak on the importance of being a father.
