• Shadows To Society (Live Original)

Hey, guys! Here's a live performance of my song Shadows To Society filmed in my lounge! The song is about my views on how Brazil is spending more money on The World Cup than helping the poor. I go to Brazil every year and almost everywhere you go there is a favela, it is an issue I feel very strongly about. It was written as if I was living in the same conditions as these people.

    Verse 1
    Hey, rich man, rich woman!
Don't mind the children playing in the filth
    Hey, rich man, rich woman!
Ignore their bodies riddled with disease
Just spend your money building a fancy Stadium
Keep the kids dreaming of careers
    Watch them grow to suffer

    Money in your banks
    Plenty to go round
Are we just shadows, shadows to you?
    The future's in your hands
Are we a part of it?
Or are we just shadows, shadows to you?

    Verse 2
    Hey, you democrats
Where are the funds for our education?
    Hey, you democrats
There are adults who can't even read
And it's bad enough we've got discrimination
Men black and white, rich and poor
    Live in separate worlds

    Shadows! Shadows! Shadows! (x2)
    No! No! No!

    Outro/Middle 8
