I was lucky enough to attend Kate Bush "Before The Dawn" in concert where she performed her concept album 'A Sky Of Honey' in the second half of the show. Since then, like many other fans, my life has been full of coincidences to do with the show and this is one of them.
I was out and about with my 8yr old Daughter when suddenly she starts making bird noises..
I literally stopped in my tracks. I've never even played Aerial to her before. (I thought she'd find it "boring..")
"How are you doing that?" I exclaimed! So she showed me how to do it and of course I tried, and failed, repeatedly. (I sound like I'm being choked..) So I told her that Kate Bush does it on one of her albums, that she did it live on stage and explained that she was becoming a bird in the show, to which my Daughter replied "Cool!" So when we got back home I put Aerial Tal on for her..
I will never forget the expression on her little face while she listened. Her eyes sparkled, her whole face lit up and she started copying it.
I couldn't speak, I didn't even want to, it was so beautiful sitting watching and listening to her.
At the end of the song she asked "What are the children saying at the end?" so I told her what they said and she did it again, acapella, off the top of her head! This is the recording! ♥
I later decided to put this recording with Kate's album track, the result was moving to say the least: https://www.youtube.com/wat...
