Starring Australian and international screen legends Jack Thompson, Gary Sweet and Sigrid Thornton, THE TELEGRAM MAN explores the impact of World War II on a close-knit Australian farming community.

A recipient of the 2011 BAFTA LA® (BRITISH ACADEMY OF FILM AND TELEVISION ARTS LOS ANGELES®) PRIZE, the film is directed and produced by James Francis Khehtie.

A nominee for BEST SHORT FICTION FILM at the prestigious 2012 AFI (Australian Film Institute) | AACTA (Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts) Awards, THE TELEGRAM MAN was part of the 2011 Academy Awards®-accredited Palm Springs International ShortFest, as well as the 2011 Academy Awards®-accredited Rhode Island International Film Festival, where it was awarded BEST SHORT HONORABLE MENTION. The film was selected, out of more than 15,000 entries submitted from around the world, as one of the 50 semi-finalists for Your Film Festival, a global film competition conducted by Ridley Scott, Michael Fassbender, Google, Emirates and the Venice Film Festival.

THE TELEGRAM MAN has been screened in more than 100 different film festivals and special events around the world. The film was part of the RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force) Commemoration Concerts across Australia during 2015, and once again very privileged to receive an invitation to screen at the 2015 Centenary ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) Day Commemoration in Gallipoli, Turkey, following its successful screening to a crowd of over 16,000 people just prior to the Dawn Service at the 2012, 2013 and 2014 Commemorations. ANZAC Day marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during World War I. It is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand, commemorated by both countries on 25th April every year to honour the members of the ANZAC who fought at Gallipoli.

THE TELEGRAM MAN is available on iTunes and Amazon Instant Video, as well as on the permanent collection of AMPAS® (The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences®) Film Archive at the Pickford Center for Motion Picture Study in Hollywood, United States.
