James Francis Khehtie is an Australian filmmaker. A BAFTA Los Angeles® winner and Australian Academy Awards® nominee, he directed and produced THE TELEGRAM MAN.

Starring Australian and international screen legends Jack Thompson, Gary Sweet and Sigrid Thornton, THE TELEGRAM MAN explores the impact of World War II on a close-knit Australian farming community. The film was selected, out of more than 15,000 entries submitted from around the world, as one of the 50 semi-finalists for Your Film Festival, a global film competition conducted by Ridley Scott, Michael Fassbender, Google, Emirates and Venice Film Festival.

A recipient of more than 35 awards, THE TELEGRAM MAN has been screened in more than 100 film festivals and special events around the world. The film was part of the RAAF (Royal Australian Air Force) Commemoration Concerts across Australia during 2015, and once again very privileged to screen to a crowd of 10,500 at the 2015 Centenary ANZAC (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) Day Commemoration in Gallipoli, Turkey, following its successful screenings to over 16,000 people just prior to the Dawn Services at the 2012, 2013 and 2014 Commemorations. ANZAC Day marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during World War I. It is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand, commemorated by both countries on 25th April every year to honour the members of the ANZAC who fought at Gallipoli.

Regarded as a film of artistic, cultural and historical significance by the OSCARS® | Academy Awards® Film Archive, THE TELEGRAM MAN is part of its permanent collection at the Pickford Center for Motion Picture Study in Hollywood. The Archive collects, preserves and provides access to moving images that represent significant contributions to the art and science of motion pictures.

THE TELEGRAM MAN is available on iTunes, Google Play, Amazon Instant Video and Verizon FiOS.
