From museums, parks and historic places to archaeology, natural environment and cultural traditions, we invest in every part of our heritage. Find out about some of our grants programmes here. http://www.hlf.org.uk/programmes
Over the coming months we will delve into the lives of people from all backgrounds, all parts of the UK and a wide range of projects to show just what a difference our funding – your National Lottery money – is making to the hundreds of thousands of individuals and communities who have worked, trained, volunteered, visited or benefited from one of our exciting heritage projects.
In our latest and biggest research study, we commissioned research company BritainThinks to carry out research in 12 locations across the UK. They undertook both surveys and workshops, to find out what people now think about heritage and the local projects HLF has supported. In all we heard from over 4,000 people.
The research has generated a rich set of resources, data, quotes, visuals and footage providing a fascinating insight into the relationship between heritage, people and place
Staged by the Heritage Lottery Fund, in partnership with the RSA, this invitation-only event was a key forum for sharing ideas about heritage – its role in civil society and place, and how best to ensure its resilience in the future
