We've all seen videos from the April 27 2011 tornado outbreak on the news, on the Internet, et cetera. Many videos on Youtube, particularly of the Tuscaloosa tornado, are well-known worldwide. It is easy to see why - large tornadoes passing through densely populated areas in the middle of the day provided perfect opportunities for documenting some of the most terrifying and destructive tornadoes of all time on video. This playlist does not seek to collect every video on the site - rather, primarily to showcase videos which I find particularly interesting or poignant that have relatively few views, along with collecting videos of lesser-known tornadoes that day that are represented by a scant few videos here. I am also adding especially close-up home videos from the day to the list, although I can never recommend getting as close as some of the very-lucky-to-be-alive videographers have in some of these videos. Finally, I am also adding videos that represent little-documented path segments of well-known tornadoes. I'll update from time to time. If you're a casual video viewer and not a diehard weather nerd like I tend to be, I guarantee you've never seen some or most of the videos in this list. They're well worth watching!
