Being rejected one of the universities of Europe because of my previous results, I almost gave up studying. But edx changed me again to expand the knowledge creating the hope studying and learning more. A great salute to edx.

Ed x"sells" certificates, but in fact the certificates are useless. They carry no real weight (except in the minds of the Ed X organization) as the "courses" are often poorly managed, "students" who clearly have no clue as to the subject matter are not "corrected" when they make blatantly obvious mistakes, and the "Tests" are ridiculously easy to cheat on. Some schools do better than others, but even then the silly certificate you get from them means very little in a world where people with Master's degrees are likely competing for the "good jobs" you are thinking of.
Yes it provides you passed result but for that you should pay a small amount like 20/25 or 30 dollar for verified certificate which will be issued by edx under the university. the examinations will be part of the course. you will know after joining any course.
i did't have any occasion to study online but now i have becouse of you so thank you so much for this opportunity.
i wish that i'll enjoy here and have fun

I have taken a few "moocs"from ed x, and overall I have to say the experience has been disappointing. The most recent was a class on "spirituality", and religion, and how they relate to sensory perception (although I saw nothing like that, and they used the word "sensuality" which seemed misused) This course was supposedly led by some guy named S. Brent Plate who only showed up to lap up praise, and "unenroll" anyone who challenged any of the incredibly nonsensical nonsense that the majority of other "students" were slinging. I mean dead dogs communicating with live ones, (only when they were being cremated apparently) stones that moved and spoke, it was like a fantasy/fairy tale competition to see who could come up with the most outlandish story. It was so ridiculous it was funny. I can't take ed x serious as a "learning resource" because they seem to let any nut job and fraud "teach" whatever nonsense they please , and they don't allow "students" to challenge misinformation, and outright lies made by these "instructors" and their staffs.
Thank you for providing MOOC to those who has hungry to learn. I'm currently taking 'Age of Globalization' and 'Ideas of the Twentieth Century', both from UT Austin. Now all those people who live outside the U.S. and always wanted to have such a knowledge from great universities are very pleased because now they have the great opportunity to take your courses for free at any time. Thank you edX!! I love you!!!
