“I enjoy working with adults and adolescent age youths in my practice. My philosophical foundation is centered on Humanistic Existentialism while my therapeutic orientation is based in Mindfulness Training and is an eclectic blend of Cognitive Behavioral and Psychodynamic approaches. My sessions tend to be quite interactive and my focus is on the family system. My wife and I have been together for 37 years and have raised three young adult children. I appreciate the tough lessons that families face these days including the strains imposed through parenting issues, elder care, financial demands and diminished time, to name a few. The many years that I have devoted to my career as well as to my own family have provided me with a compassionate understanding of the challenges that most people are confronted with in today’s fast-paced, ever-changing world. I enthusiastically bring this knowledge to my work with my clients.” — Dr. Stephen J. Johnson
