    THE GRAND ENTHRONEMENT OF THE 9TH ADEU RINPOCHE PEMA CHOEGYAL
    This sixteen minutes video chronicled the precious moments of The 9th Adeu Yangsi Rinpoche’s Grand Enthronement Ceremony by Jetsun Choekyi Gonpo. H.H. Gyalwang Drukpa was also being invited to witness and bestow blessings to the young Adeu Rinpoche.

    The 9th Jetsun Choekyi Gonpo, an emanation of Vajrapani, the supreme Lineage Holder of Drukpa Kargyu was entrusted by his root-guru, The 8th Kyabje Adeu Rinpoche, to assume the ultimate responsibility of a root-guru to his next incarnation.

    The present Adeu Yangsi Rinpoche was recognized by Jetsun Choekyi Gonpo (Drukpa Choegon Rinpoche) at the age of 2. Rinpoche anointed September 10, 2015 to be the auspicious Grand Enthronement Day of Adeu Yangsi Rinpoche, the 9th.

    On September 8th, 2015 Kyabje Choegon Rinpoche along with H.H. Gyalwang Drukpa arrived at Yushu airport, Nangchen, Qinghai, China; received by thousands of monks, nuns and lay devotees. The next day, the troops embarked on the hours-long bumpy road journey to Tsechu Monastery of Adeu Rinpoche. Along the way, massive assemble of sanghas and lay devotees stream out to welcome Choegon Rinpoche and entourages at the roadside.

    At dawn of The Grand Enthronement Day, following the traditional ritual, The 9th Adeu Yangsi Rinpoche trotting gracefully on a horseback heading toward his monastery where tens of thousands of monks, nuns and lay devotees have gathered, eagerly to welcome him.

    Fulfilling the request of the Nangchen monks, as well the wishes of his root guru - The 8th Kyabje Adeu Rinpoche, Jetsun Choekyi Gonpo (Drukpa Choegon Rinpoche) presided over the entire enthronement rituals, which include the offering of Mandala along with the representations of Enlightened Body, Speech and Mind, reciting auspicious prayers, and bestowing the sublime blessings to The 9th Adeu Rinpoche, Pema Choegyal.

    In the subsequent days after completed the enthronement ceremony, under the entreaty of the Nangchen devotees, Drukpa Choegon Rinpoche has conferred numerous empowerments, particularly Vajrapani empowerment and Long Life Amitayus empowerments and blessings to all devotees. At the earnest request of the monks and nuns, Choegon Rinpoche endured immense physical hardships, journey through the treacherous mountain passes just to bestow blessing to some of the most secluded desolate monasteries and provide personal guidance and confer practice instructions to the practitioners there. Among the Drukpa Kargyu branch monasteries and monasteries of other lineages that Rinpoche visited include La Dzo retreat hermitage, Pema Kyung Dzong, Jin Zhou Monastery, Gechak Nunnery, DzongGo Monastery, Tana Monastery, Wamlung Monastery, HaiRi Dzong, Sangri Monastery, etc.

    During this trip, Choegon Rinpoche also has also presided over The Enthronement Ceremony of Ah Mei Tulku, inaugurates Pema Kyung Dzong’s stupa. On September 15, 2015 along with H.H. Gyalwang Drukpa, the 9th Adeu Rinpoche, Satrul Rinpoche and other important tulkus of the Drukpa Kargyu, Jetsun Choekyi Gonpo inaugurates and blesses the gigantic Ashoka Stupa at Nangchen. There, at the roof-top, Choegon Rinpoche bestowed the nectar of purification and blessing to close to 80 thousands devotees.
