Waking up on the summit of hill is a great way to start the day. My two friends and I climbed into the hills in darkness after some beers in the pub, it was a Saturday night after all ;). Our destination was Carnethy Hill, the second highest of the Pentland Hills and possible my favorite in the area. The wind was blowing a little and we hunkered as best we could. It was a little chilly during the night and especially in the morning but the reward was stunning views from high in the hills. Show less
