This is the exact time and date, nearly 4 years ago, that I uploaded this video and CoDHut was released to the mainstream Youtube community. Since then, I have single-handedly moderated, organised, and designed every aspect of this channel you can see today (I did have some good friends help with commentating our "Edit This!" series, thanks guys!) I have tried my best to produce the most pure, unbiased atmosphere and to the best of my knowledge, you guys have appreciated my work and I thank you for that.

In early 2012, Youtube introduced several massive changes that basically shot this channel in the balls. We lost thousands of subscribers overnight and our videos went from 5000+ views in 24 hours to 500. Many active subscribers were automatically unsubscribed from our channel for no apparent reason. Videos we uploaded simply did not appear on the upload feed of our subscribers either. At the same time, I graduated High School and did what any other 18 year old kid would have done (college, alcohol, girlfriends, job, learning to pee all on my own etc.). The combination of these two factors caused CoDHut to slowly but surely fade away into the depths of Youtube. I could never trust anyone else to moderate it because of all the blatant lies, scandals, money-whoring, and scams rampant on other community channels. I tried my best to keep CoDHut free from all of this shit and basically made next to no money from the thousands of hours I spent editing, moderating, and uploading. I would rather CoDHut stay frozen in time than be given to some idiot who will completely destroy what it stands for by uploading "OMG WATCH THIS" or "CRAZY STUNT GONE WRONG" videos for cheap views (*cough*, FLE, *cough*, PredatorCinema).

Shortly after the launch of CoDHut, I had to go overseas for a while. For nearly 3 weeks I tried to upload as much as possible from a tiny, shitty little netbook using horrible Hotel wi-fi. Each video averaged about 30 likes and 400 views, and the channel had about 1500 subscribers. Fast-forward a few months and I was editing the Machinima logo into our channel banner. At one stage, everything I did on the channel was instantly broadcast to over 40,000 people, from all over the planet. This was (and still is) mind-blowing and I still can't believe I reached so many people from such a humble beginning. None of this would have been possible without your help, submissions, and contributions.

I'm uploading this video as a sort of thank you and farewell, but rest assured CoDHut will never die. I had a lot of fun and I reached the height of my Youtube "career" with a Machinima Partnership in 2011 - all thanks to you guys. Our "Edit This!" series had thousands of submissions and hundreds of thousands of video views - running over 40 episodes. I've uploaded in excess of 500 videos and replied to thousands upon thousands of PMs and comments. I spent two days straight creating the official CoDHut intro and logo from scratch (animation is a bitch to learn). I also created channel backgrounds, edited our "Edit This!" and Contest videos, and many other miscellaneous items.

Well that's it from me. As I said before, CoDHut will never die. I hope you all will remember this community as one of the best, because at the end of the day, you guys made CoDHut what it is now. I had a lot of fun interacting with you all and moderating this channel. Please keep submitting your videos because I will sporadically check my inbox and continue to upload every now and then. If you would like to ask me any questions, comment on this and I will reply!

Thanks again, and farewell (kind of). #CoDHutFTW

P.S. You may know me by several of my online aliases but I have never told anyone my actual name.
