Many Trails Children's Concert for the Joshua School, 06-08-13
Performers include beginner to advanced cellists, and was performed in collaboration with Chase the Music and Cello Expressions. Venue sponsored by the CU Blues Club.
This concert was inspired by a boy with autism who loves Disney movies! Therefore we arranged three of his favorite songs 'Under the Sea,' 'A Whole New World' and 'You've Got a Friend in Me' along with some other classical pieces, and created an original composition called 'Many Trails' especially for him!
An arrangement of Toy Story's You've Got a Friend in Me.
During this concert we felt we had a lot of friends who helped make this concert possible! Thank you to:
-BCP volunteer cellists & moderators
-Aly Spicer for helping us coordinate with the Joshua School
-Brenna Fisch for sponsoring the venue -- the beautiful Glen Miller Ballroom
-Dana Clanin for lending us the hard to find bell chimes
-Michael Varney for "volunteering" time to help coordinate the concert and work the cameras
-Theresa Tan for nominating C* for the Chase the Music Program and providing ideas
-Edward Kean (our sound guy!) for helping us to sound awesome
-Red Wolf Sound for audio equipment rental
And especially Clark, for creating such a wonderful orgaization and allowing us to "run with the ideas"!! Clark you are fabulous beyone words!!! Thank you for being so patient with us!!!
