As the world starts to turn vegan, so does the food. This is how we made the McDonalds Vegan Big Mac!

We start by first purchasing a regular Big Mac burger but asking for no cheese, no sauce and no patty. To create our #veganized Big Mac burger we sat down and added our own Big Mac sauce.

Luckily for us back in 2012 McDonalds quietly announced that their secret sauce wasn't so secret after all, stating that the recipe had been online for years.

We then pop on the diced onions and shredded lettuce below a slice of vegan cheese and a veggie burger. You can obviously use any veggie/mock meat burger you like.

This is how we made a Vegan Big Mac.

Disclaimer: We're not vegan. We're vegetarian.

We don't eat eggs or drink milk but occasionally will eat cheese or products that contain things like milk or egg powder.

I've personally chose to eat like this for the same reason that people chose to quit smoking in the 60s. These foods are directly linked to our leading causes of death* (cancer, heart disease, stroke etc) and I wan't to live a happy healthy life.

(Of course, other people choose to eat like this for other reasons such as ethics or even to help lower CO2 emissions, the rate of deforestation, sea pollution, mass extinction and world hunger.** They're still very valid reasons for going reason but not my reason.)

I believe that everybody has a right to know what they're eating in the same way, as I said above, people have a right to know that cigarettes cause lung cancer, after that it's their choice. The same goes with animal products.

    A few facts:

Dairy promotes breast and colon cancer.***
Processed red meat (bacon, sausages etc) are type-1 carcinogens.
Red meat is a probable type-2 carcinogen.****
Eggs contain 80-100% of your cholesterol RDA.*****
