Mega Man Redux/Reincarnate - Megathon 3: The Spinoff Show

Did you know that those weird solar panels we normally see in Top Man's stage weren't the original idea for the stage's background? That's right, the buildings and fences you see in this video were! I took the right to recreate this old design by copying the pixels from that old magazine scan
(http://themechanicalmaniacs...)
as seen in the Mechanical Maniacs' MM3 Mysteries Article
(http://themechanicalmaniacs...)

The final product looks pretty damn impressive, if I do say so myself: far better than what the developers went with in the finished product. But hey, if they hadn't axed the beta design, we wouldn't be here discussing its resurrection, would we? So... yeah, props to them, I guess.

MEGA MAN 3 PLAYTHROUGH + REIMAGINING

CHALLENGES:
- Mr. Perfect (no damage can be taken during gameplay)
- Trusty Sidearm+ (all normal bosses have to be defeated Buster-only)

Voice Cast:

Top Man---------------Actorman
Proto Man------------ConVito
Snake Man-----------Ry-Guy
Shadow Man---------Actorman
Doc----------------------Sarifus

STAGE DIFFICULTY RATING: 2/10
There's not much that can be said about this place... whatever it is. (Seriously, even with the real background, it's confusing. This old design is even weirder.) Most of the enemies are minor inconveniences, but there -are- a few tough-ish spots: the first Tama encounter and the room before it require some rather tight jumps. Still, they're far from difficult, which is a big enough reason for me to issue a low difficulty rating. 'Nuff said.

BOSS DIFFICULTY RATING: 1/10
What a joke. Snake Man didn't lie when he said that Top Man is the weakest Robot Master, because this fellow's just so bloody easy that even thinking about it hurts my brain. "What sets him apart from the other weak ones?" you may ask. Well, to use Magnet Man as an example, with him you at least have to find openings to damage him in between those not-so-tricky attacks, because the fight can drag on for a good while if he decides to spam Magnet Pull. Top Man, on the other hand, leaves himself completely open for punishment and does little to actually threaten you. Aerial Tops is trumped by a well-placed slide (although it can be dodged without one, too) and Top Spin will never hit you if you have more than two brain cells. Combine all that with the fact that he takes two points of damage from each buster shot and you have a pretty weak Robot Master in your hands. That's the gist of it.
