With riveting sound and film footage, Rivalry is an inside look at the storied Amherst-Williams football game's 127th playing, and the players, coaches, students, staff, alumni, community and fans who make the annual tradition so special. And, it couldn't have come at a better time, as Amherst football closed out its 2012 season and 121 years on Pratt Field with a thrilling 23-20 Homecoming victory over their arch rivals.
Playing the last game on their natural turf, the Jeffs improved to 29-27-3 against the Ephs at home to preserve their winning record against Williams on Pratt before the historic site undergoes a major renovation this offseason.
Student photographers Megan Robertson '15 and Mark Idleman '15, both of whom work for the Office of Public Affairs, and Sports Information intern Wes Thomas '14, collaborated with Rob Mattson, the college's New Media Content Developer, to chronicle the atmosphere surrounding Amherst College's historic football rivalry with Williams College. The all-access production explores all facets of the game, including tailgating, game highlights, pep talks, and everything in-between.
