Meet Pacifique. He is 20 years old and lives in Bujumbura, Burundi. Born with HIV, he didn’t find out he was living with the virus until he was 10. After some difficult years he joined a local youth group, RNJ+, and life would never be the same again…
HIV-related illness is the leading cause of death among adolescents (aged 10 – 19) in Africa, and the second largest globally. Young people need support and services in order to reverse this shocking trend.
RNJ+ is supported by Link Up, an ambitious project which is improving the sexual and reproductive health and rights of more than one million young people affected by HIV across five countries in Africa and Asia. For more information, visit www.link-up.org
