Thinsulate Acoustic is an optional product for doors, but it really depends on what you want to accomplish and how much room you have to layer products behind your interior door panel. In my experience the MLV does a better job at blocking noise than Thinsulate Acoustic, but I didn't try one or the other. An additional benefit of CCF and MLV is the MLV also blocks the rear sound waves from the front sound waves. This will let the speakers do a much better job of reproducing bass.
Look into the CDT CL-61CV system for a current product that will have a factory warranty and better sound. Plus the CL-61CV system is convertible to either a coaxial or component configuration. It's nice having that option.
